Sacramento State Hornets vs Utah Utes Point Spread Picks

The Sacramento State Hornets were 10-18 last season. That mark doesn't sound very good, but when you consider it was their first double-digit wins season since the 2006-07 campaign, it certainly represents progress. The Hornets return all five starters from that team, but this is the Big Sky Conference. While they should improve this season, they are not ready to take on a BCS program of any level. Utah was overmatched in the Pac-12 last season, finishing a dismal 6-25. They will be hard pressed again to match up with the Pac-12 opponents on their schedule. Taking on a mediocre opponent from the Big Sky is a much different and doable task. The one thing the Utes bring into this game is size, which you can't teach and should be the difference maker against a very beatable opponent. Utah is a strong 9-3 ATS in their last 12 here.
