William & Mary at College of Charleston

This is an early showdown battle in the Coastal Athletic Association. Both William & Mary and the College of Charleston are 2-0 in the league. William & Mary is 11-3 overall, but all of its losses have come on the road. Charleston has beaten the Tribe seven straight times when hosting them. The Cougars are 6-1 versus the Tribe during the past seven overall meetings. The Cougars looked good in their last game, an 85-81 triumph at Elon as 2.5-point underdogs on New Year's Eve. The 9-6 Cougars have a height advantage, give up nearly six points fewer per game than William & Mary, and have the best player on the court in guard Jalen Counter. He is averaging 15.6 points and 4.5 assists per game, while shooting 50.7% from the field and 86.8% from the free throw line. Counter is the reigning CAA Player of the Week. This will be Colby Duggan's third game of the season for the Cougars. He was a preseason All-CAA first team member. Duggan had missed the first 13 games of the season due to injury.
