William & Mary at American

American is picked to finish third in the Patriot League and rightly so after the Eagles improved from a 6-24 season in 2017-18 to 15-15 last year and they return six of their top eight players. Senior point guard Sa'eed Nelson averaged 19.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists and he is expected to be eligible for this game after being suspended for the Eagles' opener on Tuesday. American's defense was subpar in the loss at Siena as the Saints shot 52.2 percent.  William & Mary comes off a 70-56 win over High Point with Thornton Scott scoring 22 points and Nathan Knight adding 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Tribe. This figures to be a tough season as the Tribe has a new coach and four players left or transferred following a 14-17 season. The Eagles are the team on the way up so take American to cover the number.
