Western Carolina at Minnesota

Minnesota should be more than a competitive team in the Big-10 this year. Their two losses have come against #5 Louisville, and St. John's. They have opened the season at 3-0 at home, winning the three games by a combined 94 points, or by 28 points per game. That has been against much lesser competition, and Western Carolina fits that same bill as the Catamounts come into this game with a 3-5 record with no impressive wins. The Catamounts are giving up 78.5 ppg in their last four, and those teams don't have nearly the firepower that they will see from the Golden Gophers in this one. A tell-tale sign for Western Carolina is the fact that they are 1-8-2 ATS in their last 11 after giving up more than 90 points in their previous game, and Minnesota is plenty capable of getting there.
