VMI at Virginia Tech

The VMI Keydets have been a fun team to watch over the past two years, as they run and gun and jack up a lot of threes. They averaged 88.3 points per game two years ago, and dipped to 83.5 ppg last year. The oddsmakers are aware of their scoring prowess, or pace of the game, so they always play to high totals, usually padded by a few points. The problem they face is going against a high-level power conference team. We already saw what happens when they do this year as they managed just 50 points vs. Penn State. That is the sixth power conference team they have faced since the start of the 2013 season and they have averaged just 68.6 ppg. Virginia Tech played to the UNDER in their only game with a total posted, and it was a slow-paced game, so don't expect this one to get over the top. Too many points here, so take the UNDER.
