Virginia Tech at South Carolina

Virginia Tech has won only once since leaving Blacksburg. The Hokies opened with five straight wins. All of those came at home, though. They then went 1-2 in tournament action in the Bahamas. Virginia Tech has lost its last two games, 86-68, to VCU and to Saint Mary's, 77-66. But what really makes Virginia Tech a go-against team is that the Hokies have failed to cover in their last five games. It is not too much to ask South Carolina to win on its home court in this ACC/SEC Challenge matchup. South Carolina did that last season, defeating Virginia Tech, 70-60, as six-point favorites at a neutral site. The Gamecocks are 5-0 at home this season, with four of those victories coming by double digits. After losses to Butler, 79-72, and Northwestern, 79-77, at the Greenbrier Tip-Off Mountain Division from Sulpur Springs, West Virginia, the Gamecocks bounced back to beat Charleston Southern, 74-62, at home this past Friday. Take South Carolina.
