Virginia Tech at Clemson

The Virginia Tech Hokies went into last week at 15-11 and really on life support regarding a potential NCAA bid. They dropped a heartbreaker to Virginia at home by just 2 points, and then put of a fierce effort at Cameron Indoor, before falling to Duke in overtime. It will be very difficult for this team to head on the road after two huge efforts which both came up short, and that usually means the defensive intensity suffers. The Tigers are playing well right now winners of four of their last five, and have redemption in mind for a tough 2-point loss in Blacksburg vs. the Hokies, and are catching them at the right time. Virginia Tech has had lots of trouble vs. winning teams where they are a brutal 6-17-2 ATS in their last 25. They have a painful 1-8-1 ATS mark following an ATS win as well. They have also had problems keeping winning teams off the scoreboard resulting in a 7-1-1 mark to the OVER in their last nine when facing one. The Tigers have been on the prowl as a home favorite of -6.5 or less at 9-3 ATS in their last 12. Just one of the last nine meetings between these clubs has stayed UNDER the total.
