Utah at SMU

It was a humbling year last season for Utah who finished at 6-25 and had just three wins within the conference. The Utes managed just 55.5 points per game and barely shot over 40% for the season. They look to be slowing things down again now that they are facing legitimate competition with their last three showing an average of a combined 110 ppg. The Mustangs are 6-1 on the season, but have been favored in five of the six games, and a dog by 1.5 points, so there record matches expectations. Their last two games have been the most challenging with a 1-point win and a loss, and they have seen the offensive production go off the cliff down to 59 ppg in the last two. This one is going to be a slow tempo and SMU has not thrived in this type of game. I will play this one UNDER the total where SMU is 21-9-1 to the UNDER in their last 31 vs. a team over .600.
