Texas vs. Purdue

Purdue had a brief stretch starting in late February when it lost four of six, but the Boilermakers have turned it around and won six in a row, including taking the Big 10 conference title and the first two games in the NCAA Tournament. Fletcher Loyer scored 24 points, and the Boilermakers shot 53 percent while defeating Miami, Florida, 79-69 on Sunday for their third straight cover. The Hurricanes were held to 5-for-19 from 3-point range. Texas went UNDER for the fourth straight time as it beat Gonzaga 74-68. The Longhorns were the first team in five years to go from the First Four to the Sweet 16. They came into the tournament losers of five of six. Purdue features Loyer and Braden Smith in the backcourt, and historically, teams with great guards go far in the tournament. Smith led the nation with 333 assists while leading the Boilermakers in scoring with 14.3 points per game. Texas doesn't allow many 3s, but Purdue is usually dominant on the offensive boards.
