Temple at La Salle

Temple defeated La Salle 75-67 last season in a pick 'em game, but the Owls are favored this year as they return 11 players from that 23-10 squad, inclduing starting guards Quinton Rose and Nate Pierre-Louis.  The Owls have won their first two games over Drexel and Morgan State and they did it with great defense as Morgan State was held to 35.7 percent.  Pierre-Louis led Temple with 19 points and 11 rebounds and Rose added 16 points.  Alani Moore II chipped in with 14 points.  La Salle comes off a bad performance at Penn losing 75-59 while making just 3 of 14 from 3-point range.  Isiah Deas led the Explorers with 17 points and Ayinde Hikim was the only other double-figure scorer with 14.  La Salle finished 10-21 last season and it is 12-26-1 ATS its last 39 non-conference games.  Temple has covered seven of its last 10 following an ATS loss.  Play Temple.
