SMU at Texas State

The SMU Mustangs were projected to finish at or near the bottom of C-USA, but perhaps they have under-rated the impact of the hiring of Larry Brown, the only coach to win both an NBA and NCAA Tile. He has the Mustangs off to a 2-0 start and they got a big win over TCU last time on the floor. His team has to be feeling pretty good about themselves. Texas State had a trio of double-digit scorers a yer ago, but that wasn't good enough as they finished with a 13-17 mark while competing in the Southern Coference. They will have to add to that as they upgrade to a member of the WAC this season. They clearly have not been able to as they are projected last. There is good reson for that because the have had just 1 scorer return and an upgraded schedule is going to leave them in a struggle. SMU is 15-7-1 ATS in their last 23 on the road and has a very winnable game in this one. Play on SMU.
