Santa Clara at Saint Mary's CA

It wasn't many years ago when St. Mary's was the doormat of the West Coast Conference, but the program has been on the national stage, and has rebuilt to compete with Gonzaga. The Gaels are off to a 12-4 start to the season, and have been a difficult obstacle at home for any opponent. They are a perfect 9-0 at home, and have won each of their last five homers by 15 points or more. Santa Clara just can't get over the top in this conference, and they enter at a pedestrian 9-8. In their three toughest games of the season vs. Notre Dame, Gonzaga, and UNLV, they did not come any closer than 14 points. The Gaels are certainly of that ilk, and more so on their home court.
