Saint Mary's CA at Southern Illinois

St. Mary's has gotten off to a very good start and bring a 7-0 record to Carbondale. The Gaels are not quite as tested as S. Illinois, who has played Indiana, Charlotte and USC in the early going. Carbondale is one of the toughest places at which to win in college basketball. This S. Illinois team has posted a 78-4 SU record in their last 82 games here. St.Mary's has never been here, and it will represent the most difficult venue they have seen yet, as they have only played one game on the road all season. S. Illinois has the talent to win the MVC again, and playing at home has a huge advantage. We expect them to come out on top in this one.
