Saint Louis at Southern Illinois

After winning 27 games or more for three straight years, the St. Louis Billikens have really struggled to get back to respectability. They are off a pair of 11 win seasons, and at 3-6 appear heading in the same direction. Southern Illinois won 29 games back in 2006, followed with an 18-win season, and has finished with a losing record every year since.  At 5-5, they too have struggled to get back to respectability. Southern Illinois has shot less than 40% when combining their last two games, and hardly look like a team ready for a double-digit win. St. Louis likes to control tempo and shorten games, as they typically have a talent deficit vs. most opponents.
