Southern Utah at South Dakota State

The Fort Wayne Mastadons have so far played as big as their nickname, taking a 7-4 mark against another team off to a big start in South Dakota State, who is at 10-4 to start the season. The Mastadons are not on the level with Purdue, Xavier or Iowa where three of their losses have come from but certainly getting disrespected here by the oddsmakers. Frank Gaines, at 20.3ppg is certainly good enough to keep the distance between these clubs much shorter than the posted number. The Mastadons are also living large on the road where they are 17-8 ATS in their last 25, while the Jackrabbits Earth-bound after big offensive barrage scoring 90+ at 1-4 ATS in their last five.
