Rice at Marshall

The Marshall Thundering herd were once 12-4 but have not maintained the same level of play over the last nine games which shows them with a losing 4-5 record. They have played a soft schedule, have been favored just eight times, and are just 2-6 ATS. They have already been beaten as a 13.5 point favorite and as a 9.5 point favorite they were lucky to get out with a 1 point win, so this team is certainly vulnerable here. The Rice Owls don't have the record to show they can win this one, until you look closer. They played Miami, Fla to within 6 points and the #1 Texas to 3 points on the road. They have also won straight up as a 4.5 point dog and have a straight up win as an 11 point dog. Marshall is struggling while Rice is plenty capable of the win here. I am on Rice for the moneyline in this one.
