Rhode Island pulled out a 79-77 win over Duquesne as a 9.5-point favorite on Wednesday in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament, but the Rams allowed nearly 50 percent shooting and couldn't contain Amir Spears, who poured in 30 points for the Dukes. The Rams have lost seven of their past 10 games and are only 2-8 ATS in that span and Richmond won and covered both meetings this season. The Spiders look to bounce back from two losses to Dayton and St. Bonaventure and they are 4-1 ATS following a loss and Rhode Island is 0-4 ATS following a win and 1-4 ATS versus teams with .600 or higher winning percentages. Rhode Island is a poor free-throw shooting team hitting only 62.4 percent. Lay the points with Richmond.
