Rhode Island has beaten La Salle six times in a row while covering the number in four of them, and the Rams come off a 52-42 victory over Fordham Sunday, with Jeremy Sheppard scoring a team-leading 16 points. Rhode Island shot only 37-percent overall, and five of 18 on 3-pointers, but it held Fordham to 30-percent shooting. The Rams average a .452 field goal percentage while allowing opponents 39.9-percent shooting. La Salle had lost three straight before beating St. Joseph's and then upsetting Richmond as a 14-point underdog. The Explorers toally overachieved hitting 57.1 percent from the field against the Spiders, even while averaging 44.4 percent on the season. The road team is 15-5-1 ATS the last 21 meetings and I look for La Salle's shooting to cool off. Take Rhode Island.
