Pacific vs. Xavier

November 22, 2012
img2:00 PM Eastern

Xavier heads out West to Anaheim to take on a Pacific squad that is slowing the pace down, scoring 61 and 67 points the last two games (both losses). Pacific is on a 4-1 run UNDER the total. The UNDER is 6-1 in the Tigers’ last seven games when following a loss, and 5-2 UNDER the total in their last seven non-conference games. Xavier (3-0) is rebuilding, but is playing well. Gone for Xavier are Mark Lyons and Dezmine Wells who combined to average 28 points per game. They are leaning on a fine defense, as usual, allowing 59 and 47 points the last two games. The Musketeers then dominated a Butler team who made easy work of North Carolina by 15 points. Perhaps a little too confident after the Butler win, the Musketeers got all they could handle in a 61-59 win over weak Robert Morris, though they allowed just 41% shooting. Look for more defense than oddsmakers anticipate. Play the UNDER.
