Notre Dame at SMU

This marks the third time in two weeks that Notre Dame is getting more than nine points. Although their Atlantic Coast Conference record is 2-9, which is tied for last, the Irish are tough in this role as a big underdog. They took Virginia to overtime before losing 100-97 as 9.5-point underdogs on Jan. 27, and then lost to Louisville 76-65 as 18.5-point road underdogs six days ago. SMU has a 3-5 record against the spread this season when favored by 11.5 points or more. The Mustangs are 1-2 in their last three games. They rank 244th defensively, allowing an average of 77.4 points per game. Notre Dame ranks 207th defensively, surrendering an average of 75.9 points a game.
