Dayton at NC Wilmington

When it comes to the National Invitation Tournament, mindset can be as important as talent. Certain teams can be less focused and motivated because they weren't invited to the NCAA Tournament. Dayton proved it could be counted on, beating Bradley, 80-66, as a 2.5-point road favorite in its first round NIT game this past Wednesday. The No. 2-seeded Flyers endured their longest bus trip in years to accomplish the task. Now they fly to North Carolina to take on NC Wilmington, a team lucky to survive its first-round game in the NIT. The Seahawks nipped Yale, 68-67, on the road this past Tuesday. The Seahawks came from 14 points down and then watched Yale miss two free throws with 12 seconds left. It was Wilmington's first NIT victory in school history.
