Michigan State vs. Kansas

The Michigan State Spartans opened the season with a No. 14 ranking. However, that was more of a salute to Tom Izzo who always seems to take his team to a high level. He has a lot of talent, but the Spartans are green. They also lack a go-to guy at this point, and showed to be lacking ballhandlers vs. UConn who picked their pocket for easy hoops too frequently. Michigan State may in fact become the 14th best team in the country come March, but at this stage they aren't even in the conversation. Kansas has the size, and athleticism to exploit some youth on this Michigan St. team. They have the 0foot' Withey inside that has dominated, and the guards don't look to have the ball handling and penetration skills yet. The Jayhawks are a step ahead of the Spartans at this point of the season, and it will show here. Play on Kansas.
