Minnesota is laying the most points it has in a Big 10 game all season. The timing is not good for that. Not only are the Gophers a below .500 team - both SU and ATS - but they are in a huge letdown spot after upsetting No. 10 Michigan State, 76-73, as an 8.5-point home underdog this past Wednesday. Minnesota has the sixth best defense in the Big Ten. However, the Gophers rank last in the conference in free throw percentage and play at the 16th-slowest pace in the nation averaging only 63.3 possessions a game. Those are disadvantages for a team laying this many points. Maryland has owned this series, too, winning 11 of the last 12 meetings. Take Maryland.
