Iowa vs. Illinois

Iowa avenged a loss to Nebraska in the conference season, and now the Hawkeyes can do the same against Illinois, which beat them 75-69 on Jan. 11. Iowa picked a perfect time to get hot after losing four of five coming into the NCAA Tournament. The Hawkeyes have covered the spread in all three tournament games, including Thursday's 77-71 victory over the Cornhuskers. Bennett Stirtz scored 20 points, and Alvaro Folgueiras came through in the clutch again with 16 points, including a critical three-point play late in the game. The Hawkeyes shot 52 percent and hit 13 of 30 from 3-point range. Nebraska was held to 41 percent shooting and 13 of 38 from beyond the arc. Illinois took advantage of Houston's poor shooting and won 65-55. The Cougars shot 34 percent and missed 23 of 32 from long range.
