Indiana at Marquette

A pair of teams that have had significant changes from a year ago. Despite turnover, Indiana has a lot of senior leadership. Senior guard Tayton Conerway averaged 14 points per game at Troy last season and had 14 points in the opener. Senior 6-9 Sam Alexis gets an expanded role and impressed with 17 points and 8 boards in the first game, while 6-10 senior Reed Bailey had 21 points, and 6-7 senior Tucker DeVries led the way with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Marquette lost its top three scorers in Kam Jones (19.2 ppg), David Joplin (14.2 ppg), and Stevie Mitchell (10.7 ppg). Golden Eagles guards Sean Jones and Zaide Lowery step into starting roles. 6-11 forward Ben Gold averaged 7.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game last year, and hasn't been that much better this season (7.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg) in two games against weak competition.
