Howard led the Yellow Jackets 47-41 at halftime and shot 50 percent for the game with Shy Odom scoring a team-leading 22 points. James Madison opened with a stunning win over Michigan State and then went double overtime to beat Kent State 113-108. The Dukes scored five points in 3.8 seconds to force OT.
