Hofstra at Duquesne

Duquesne has plenty of new players this season and it got off to a good start with a 73-61 victory over Rider on Tuesday as the Dukes outscored the Broncs 43-28 in the second half. Kevin Easley Jr. led the Dukes with 16 points and they won despite shooting only 39 percent while hitting 12 of 30 from long range and all 13 free throws. Hofstra lost in overtime at Houston in Speedy Claxton's first game as coach. The Pride return three starters after finishing 13-10 in 2020-21. They shot only 39 percent overall and 28 percent from 3-point range against the Cougars and had only five free-throw attempts. The Dukes have covered their last six home games, but go with Duquesne on the money line.
