In Gonzaga's last game against Indiana, Morrison scored just 14 points on 5 for 17 shooting, but the Bulldogs still enjoyed a 10 point win. Gonzaga reports that this poor performance had nothing to due with the flu-like symptoms he was experiencing this week. The main question about Morrison is how many symptoms he will be experiencing in the game today and unfortunately no one has any way of knowing. What is known though, is that Gonzaga is a team that does not have much depth. This usually is not much of an issue though as Gonzaga is able to control the tempo of the game. Rebounding may be a bit harder control however as Morrison enjoys running the floor rather than staying on the post and that could cause Gonzaga some concern against a UCLA team who has a height advantage over the Zags. UCLA is a defensive oriented team who enjoy being psychically under the boards with Farmar and Afflalo, as well as a constant rotation to keep them fresh. This will equate into UCLA taking control of the the boards and second shot opportunities if Morrison looks to run the floor. If he says under the basket though, he may be getting involved in his most physical game of the season and that could be a bad thing if he has the flu as reported. This is a no-win situation for Morrison and the Zags and clearly something UCLA will look to exploit which is why we like them giving 3 in this match up. The Pac 10 gets little respect while Gonzaga gets a lot. I look to go the other way here and back the small favorite Bruins for two stars.
