Georgia Southern at Florida

Georgia Southern opened the season strong at 13-7 and then proceeded to lose its last 10 games when everything went wrong. They will bring in a former player that is the last link to an NCAA appearance, and hope for things to turn out better. That may be the case, but not tonight. Florida opened with a 28-point win vs. Stetson, and is in line to do the same or more here. Billy Donovan has added former McDonald's All-American Verno Macklin, who transferred from Georgetown, and freshman Kenny Boynton is special. Macklin went for 13 points and eight boards in the opener in just over half a game, and Boynton contributed 12, so the Gators will be better this season, and that spells trouble for Georgia Southern as the route is on. Florida big in this one.
