Furman is .500 on the season, off a blowout win over VMI, 85-57. This team will continue to get better as the Paladins returned their top eight players, including all five starters from last year's squad. Ten players are averaging over 11 minutes played per contest, led by sparkplug guard Stephen Croone (14.5 points per game) and freshman forward Matt Rafferty (9.7 ppg, 8.1 rebounds rebounds per game). Furman is on an 8-3 spread run and faces a struggling UNC-Greensboro squad (4-10) that has lost five in a row, part of a 2-6 spread run. They come off a loss to a bad Wofford team, 87-76.
