Furman vs. San Diego State

Furman is all about attacking on offense with four players in double-digits in scoring led by guard Mike Bothwell (17.8 ppg). Furman was tops in the Southern Conference in scoring (81.8 ppg) and comes off a 68-67 upset of Virginia, part of a 7-3 run OVER the total. The defense, though, is not good, with one of the worst transition defenses in the nation. Furman is 19-8 OVER the total in non-conference action. Furman pulled the upset over Virginia despite shooting just 39.3% and now they face another great defensive squad. San Diego State has a three-guard attack of its own along with a strong frontcourt in 6-9 senior Jaedon LeDee and 6-7 senior Keshad Johnson that will get plenty of high percentage chances matched up against Furman's 6-7 senior Jalen Slawson (15.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg). San Diego State was third in the Mountain West in rebounding and second in offensive rebounds. SDSU topped the second-highest scoring team in the Big West, UC Irvine, 72-69, along with an 88-54 win over Kennesaw State, the Atlantic Sun champs. Both those games sailed OVER the total. And San Diego State is 18-8 ATS after allowing 65 points or fewer in three consecutive contests, plus 20-6 ATS against teams that make 8 or more treys per game. Take San Diego State + OVER the total.
