Fresno State vs. Pacific

Pacific won its first game, 66-60, over UC Riverside with Jeremiah Bailey scoring a team-leading 19 points and Pierre Cockrell II added 16 for the Tigers, who won an unexpected 23 games last season, and Damon Stoudamire won a Coach of the Year award. The Tigers return three starters from that team, although they do lose Jahlil Tripp, who was an All-WCC forward. Fresno State is picked to finish near the bottom of the Mountain West Conference after losing four starters from an 11-19 team. The Bulldogs have some experience in the backcourt, but the frontcourt will have its problems. The favorite has covered six of the last seven meetings, and the Tigers ended the season 5-1-1 ATS.
