We have been all over the Duquense OVER the past couple of games and they have not dissapointed - sailing over each time by double digits. The ultimate puzzling match-up presents itself here - frenzy ball vs. turtle ball. Which imposes its will over the other? Let's take a look at history to see if we can find the answer. Duquense games have averaged 195 ppg since the advent of frenzy ball. Richmond games on the season averages just 128 ppg. Split the difference and your left at 161.5 ppg which is right about on par with this total. But, it's not as easy as that. Since the advent of frenzy-ball seven games ago, Duquense has forced opponents to score much more than their average. Duqense games have averaged 44 points more per contenst than their oppenents' average combined scores over the first three of these such ball games. They have improved that to an average of +54 covering the last four games. Is to possible then that this game goes from a Richmond average of 128 to 182 (54 points more)? The answer is very likely yes! Recently VMI, a team that averaged 100 ppg on their own, played Richmond in another frenzied pace game and the result was 177 points scored! So Richmond is clearly susceptible to playing a very high-scoring game against an opponent that runs and guns. It also must be noted that Richmond has given up an average of 71 ppg in its last five games as it is. Duquense has been averaging 25.6 ppg on their own higher than teams allow with frenzy ball. Richmond allows 68 per game so that means we can expect Duquense to score around 94 points tonight. Teams have scored 24 ppg more than their average against Duquense. So Richmond, a team that scores 60, would be expected to score around 84. That results in 178 for this game, almost exactly what we saw when Richmond played vs VMI, which ended at 177. We will ride frenzy ball to its 8th consecutive OVER! This total is still to low to hold frenzy ball. The line will rise throughout the day so get on it as soon as you can.
