Wyoming made huge strides in Jeff Linder's first year as coach finishing 14-11 after losing 24 games in each of the previous two seasons. The Cowboys return three starters, including Hunter Maldonado, who led the team in scoring and rebounding. Also back is guard Kenny Foster (9.1 ppg), who missed eight games last year, along with several capable 3-point shooters. Wyoming won its four of its last six games and almost pulled off an upset of San Diego State in the conference tournament as a 15.5-point underdog. Detroit had its best year under third-year coach Mike Davis, but returns only two starters, including his son Antoine Davis. The Cowboys covered their final six games overall and five of six at home, but go with Wyoming on the moneyline.
