Dayton at Northwestern

Dayton lost some size in the offseason. They topped SIU Edwardsville in the opener, though each team had eight offensive rebounds. Now Dayton plays its first road game. Northwestern went 22-12 last year and has a veteran team returning led by senior guard Boo Buie. They also have a big frontcourt in 7-foot senior Matthew Nicholson and 6-9 senior Blake Preston, plus 6-6 junior guard Brooks Barnhizer had 13 rebounds in the opener.
