CS Northridge at Cal Irvine

No disrespect to 6-4 Cal Irvine. The Anteaters are home and give up just 63.2 points per game. Only 11 teams in the country allow fewer points per game. But 4-4 Cal State Northridge can stay within single digits of the Anteaters. The Matadors have played their two best games of the season during their past four games. They upset Troy, 94-85, getting four points at home on Nov. 16, and blew out Cal Bakersfield, 87–66, as a 5.5-point home favorite two days ago. That should give Northridge a confidence boost. The Matadors are not nearly as good defensively as Irvine, but they do average 87.4 points a game. The Anteaters average 79 points per game and are one of the worst free-throw shooting teams in the country at 66.1 percent. Take Cal State Northridge.
