Clemson vs. Alabama

Clemson is in the Elite Eight for the first time since 1980 as the Tigers upset Arizona 77-72 and they apparently used the eight-day layoff between the ACC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament to sharpen their game after they shot just 35 percent and lost to Boston College 76-55 on March 13. Since then they have won and covered all three games and held the three opponents to a paltry 35 percent shooting. Chase Hunter scored 18 points and PJ Hall added 17 against the Wildcats, who shot 37 percent and hit only five of 28 on 3-point tries. These teams met on Nov. 28 and Clemson won 85-77 at Alabama.
