Underdog Cal Poly is the type of team that can cause problems for Hawaii with its breakneck pace, hot hand, and high-scoring offense that averages 84.5 points a game. That is five more points per game than what the Rainbow Warriors average. Hawaii lost its last game, 84-60, as a 3.5-point road favorite against Cal State Northridge this past Saturday. The Rainbow Warriors are 10-4 in the Big West Conference because of an outstanding defense. But they are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home contests. The Mustangs are 7-8 in the Big West, but are riding a two-game winning streak and have covered in five of their last six games. They are 8-5 ATS in true road games. Cal Poly has an above .500 ATS record on the season. Hawaii is 9-13 (41%) ATS on the season. The Mustangs defeated UC Santa Barbara, 89-79, as a 4.5-point home underdog and beat Cal Irvine, 79-73, as a 5.5-point home underdog during their last two games. Irvine is tied for first in the conference with Hawaii, and Santa Barbara is second with a 10-5 league mark. Take Cal Poly.
