Appalachian State at NC Charlotte

Charlotte is 6-2 straight-up and ATS and one of the main factors is the improved defense compared to last year. This season the 49ers are allowing opponents just a .401 field goal percentage overall and .353 on 3-pointers making the posted totals lower. Charlotte defeated Davidson 68-66 in overtime on Tuesday and the Wildcats were held to 44 percent shooting and 8-for-24 from beyond the arc. Aly Khalifa led the Niners with 19 points and 16 rebounds. Appalachian State has lost three of its past four games after falling 65-61 to Furman stopping a streak of three straight OVERS. Charlotte averages 33.5 points in the first half (2.6 more than in the second half) compared to 35.3 before halftime for the Mountaineers.
