Cal State Northridge is a perennial bad team and this year it loses four starters from last year's 15-17 squad, including Lamine Diane, who declared for the NBA Draft. The Matadors always begin their season with several road games and lose most of them and they got off to an 0-7 start last year. Joe Scott is back as coach at Air Force and luckily got junior guard A.J. Walker to stay with the program after he considered leaving before Scott was re-hired.
