Oral Roberts Golden Eagles vs UNLV Runnin' Rebels Point Spread Picks

Oral Roberts has a basketball tradition, but recently that has taken a hit. The Golden Eagles averaged nearly 20 wins per season for a nine-year stretch that ended in 2014, and they have since been a woeful 24-46, including a 2-7 start to 2017. They have played a very aggressive early season schedule, and have been posted as an underdog in all eight lined games. The good news is that they have been improving, winning their last game by eight points as a six-point dog, and have covered three straight, including a nine-point loss at Kansas State. as a 23.5 point underdog. UNLV was on the fast track at 6-0 to start the season, but has dropped two straight, and failed to cover the game prior as a -24.5 point favorite. They have a game on deck vs. Illinois of the Big-10, and I just don't see a lot of energy being spent on this game. Oral Roberts has become better on the defensive end in their last three games, and I think they will hold the ball here to compete. This is a breather alert for UNLV, and a lack of focus vs. a team with renewed confidence, and digging in with more focus on the defensive end should lead to Oral Roberts with the cover and the UNDER in this one.
