The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks haven't exactly been bubbling over a high volume of wins the last five years, and that is playing in the Ohio Valley Conference. They seldom step out vs. the heavyweights, but will open the season with Missouri who can really get it up-and-down the court and score quickly. This is perhaps the best Tigers team in eight years and opens the season ranked for the first time since the 2003-04 tipoff. The Tigers are talented and experienced with the senior class entering their last year with 77 wins - the most in school history. Missouri State has managed only nine wins in the last three seasons against lowly OVC and are way over their heads in this one. Missouri wins this one by plenty.
