La Salle Explorers vs Virginia Cavaliers Point Spread Picks

The La Salle Explorers will head into the deep end of the pool today when they take on the #7 ranked Virginia Cavaliers. The site will be The Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The Cavaliers have made quick work of five very poor teams so far, and like last season, their meal ticket is on the defensive end as they have not allowed more than 51 points in any of their five games. The caveat is that even vs. inferior teams, they have not been able to produce as many as 80 points in any of the five games. La Salle is off to a 4-0 start, and have more than held their own on the defensive end, allowing no more than 60 points in any of them. The line here will be a tough one for Virginia to take down as they play in the half-court, struggle on offense, and La Salle has been more than respectable on the defensive end. This line is just too long in a game that may see the winner struggle to get to 60 points. Take the points on La Salle.
