Indiana Hoosiers vs UT Chattanooga Moccasins Point Spread Picks

Chattanooga is 29-5 and has won five in a row, including three wins in three days in the Southern Conference tournament. Casey Jones leads the Mocs' balanced offense  with 12.6 points per game followed by Tre McLean and Justin Tuoyo with 12.3 and 11.1 points, respectively. Chattanooga's defense allows just a .438 field goal percentage and the Mocs are one of the more underrated teams coming into the tournament. Indiana is coming off a 72-69 loss to Michigan in the Big 10 tournament and is led by Yogi Ferrell, who averages 17.0 points per game and James Blackmon at 15.8. The Hoosiers are 1-4-1 ATS their last six NCAA tournament games and 1-4 ATS at neutral sites. Take the big points with Chattanooga and also play the UNDER.

Indiana plays its best defense at home for Coach Tom Crean. As we saw in the opener, they allowed 42% shooting in a win over Stony Brook. The UNDER is 7-3 in the Hoosiers’ last 10 games overall, and 5-1 UNDER the total in their last six home games. A year ago they allowed an average of 52 points in their first five games (all at home). They have the luxury of taking on a Chattanooga team that has yet to play a game. The UNDER is 8-2 in the Moccasins' last 10 non-conference games. This is a good Chattanooga team that returns four starters from the Southern Conference North Division Co-Champs, so they know what it takes to play tough defense. The UNDER is 4-1 in their last five road games, 4-1 UNDER in their last five games as a road underdog and they carry a 7-2 run to the UNDER the total from last season into this one. I see a defensive battle and this total is far too high. Take the UNDER.
