Illinois State Redbirds vs Long Beach State 49ers Point Spread Picks

Illinois State is the favorite to win the Missouri Valley Conference title although the Redbirds are off to a 1-2 start. However, they should have an easier time against Long Beach State, which is 0-3 and picked to finish near the bottom of the Big West Conference. The Beach does not appear to be much improved from last year's 7-25 record, which included a 15-game losing streak. They have lost by an average of nearly 20 points per game although this will be Long Beach State's first home game, but it has lost nine straight on its home court and 18 in a row overall. Illinois State has won seven of its past eight Sunday games and eight of its past 12 overall. The Redbirds will look to bounce back from a loss against USC when they shot just 34 percent.
