It is hard to suggest that Notre Dame will come into this game with any focus. The Irish were poised as one of the best teams in the country, but that came crashing down with the injury to Bonzi Colson. Colson has returned, but the damage had already been done. What appeared to be perhaps a deep NCAA tourney run ended in disappointment when their name was excluded from the Big Dance. Hampton ended a 10-game winning streak at the worst of times, falling to NC Central in the Conference Final.
