Maryland lost its top four scorers from last season, including Jake Layman and Diamond Stone to the NBA. Georgetown had no trouble with South Carolina Upstate, winning 105-60 as Rodney Pryor poured in 32 points and four other players scored in double figures. The Hoyas shot an astounding 66.7 percent from the field and made 9-of-17 from three-point range. The Hoyas lost D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, but the other starters are back from last season plus a couple of transfers, including Pryor.
