The VCU Rams are one of the surprises still standing as we turn to the Sweet 16. They beat a Georgetown team that struggled down the stretch and knocked off a Purdue team that ultimately closed the season winning just one of their last four. Florida State plays sticky defense and lately have really turned it up a notch, holding Notre Dame to 57 points and 30.6% from the floor. They clamped down on Texas A&M and held them to 31% shooting. They also beat Duke, holding the Blue Devils to their season-worst shooting performance at 31% and frustrated the Dukies into taking 35 of their 61 shots from beyond the arc. VCU will be hard pressed to get anything going on the offensive end here while the Seminoles are rolling, going 5-0-1 ATS in their last six games. Too much defense here for the Rams, so I am backing Florida State in this one.
