Detroit Mercy has reached the championship game of the Horizon League tournament for the first time since 2012, and its defense has been the main factor as the Titans allowed an average of 63.5 points in the first two games. They defeated Robert Morris 70-64 last night, and it went UNDER by 12.5 points as the Colonials scored only 28 second-half points and went 5-for-22 from 3-point range. The Titans will need another top defensive effort against Wright State, which has scored 90-plus points in its past three games. However, Detroit Mercy won the last meeting 77-74 on Feb. 12, and it stayed UNDER as the Raiders were held to 41 percent shooting and 28 percent on 3s. Take the UNDER.

Detroit has already won two more games than last season, which was expected with four returning starters. The Titans have won and covered two of three,e although they do come off a loss to Green Bay. They are 12-5 ATS in their past 17 games and 9-2 ATS on the road. Wright State is 3-8 ATS in its past eight February games dating to last season, and it hasn't covered the number in its past two games, including an outright 72-66 loss to Robert Morris. It has been a bad stretch of basketball for Detriot Mercy. The Titans had their worst record a year ago, finishing the season at 1-31. Things have improved, but not by a lot, as they head to Wright St. with a 6-15 record on the season and are just 2-8 in conference play. Wright St. comes in at 10-11 on the season and 4-6 in conference action. Detroit is a good defensive team as they allow opponents to shoot just 43% and 34% from deep, and they have only been outscored by 8 ppg during the season. Wright St. is a good shooting team but does not defend very well, with opponents shooting 45% and 34% from three. Detroit has been so bad they carry value as odds-makers pump the points their way.
