The Denver Pioneers lost their opener on the road to Cal-San Diego, 95-87. Cal-Poly had what should have been a much easier game vs. Laverne by 18. The Mustangs turned the ball over 16 times, and did not shoot particularly well. That doesn't bode well for a trip to Denver, especially early in the season when players don't have their game legs yet. Denver over the years has been awful on the road, but they have been a much better ATS team at home where the altitude can become a problem for opponents, especially early in the season. It was an unimpressive win at home for Cal-Poly, and this one is not going to be easy for a team on the road for the first time with just one returning starter. Make the play on Denver.
